Bright colors work. Rounded "child safe" shapes work. Large dumbed down icons work. Removal of abstraction works. Deal with that philosophy, kiss my ass. These choices are justified empirically and users do perform better. This form of radical nihilism has had nothing other than success. UI design is a kindergarten now, every other brand mimicks apple. Apple is the leader of platonist thought. And who is the software provider ? Its the benevolent philosopher king who decides what actions are "appropriate", and hides mechanisms "for your own good", and constrains freedom to remove "your own flaws".
