I been in a small village and they tried to integrate me, but I refused it.
I noticed very few people accept integration and is mostly the sons of the "big families". Small cities are places where rich people can have a social status that is enormous, these places organize social life around 1 family for every city. And everything is emanated from the family in question.
So yesterday I was in the small town and everyone competed to tell what was their relation to the big family. Its all cool but outside of the place nobody knows who they are. The positive side is that "knowing the right people" is easy. Also, their racism is so evident and strong that even a guy like me gets some notoriety and preferential treatment.
Since I lived in that town when I was teenager, I remember that all jobs were available to me. When I say "all" I really mean all jobs. I could have done mechanical engineering (that is a town related to olivetti), wine related (they do wine consortium), local church offers jobs, could do the waiter super easily. Only job unavailable to me was construction work because that was done by romanians imported. But the rest was available.
About the local racism. Its not against black people how you probably think, its against everyone who isnt like them. For instance I look similar to a slav, and they always suspected me of being a romanian. Only after they noticed the shape of my eye and cranial bones some people accepted me. One guy was able to spot the falcon eye of my family, I didnt know someone alive would know such a thing, the shape of your skull gets noticed for some reason. Its not only cesare lombroso the guy who was into cranio-facial analysis, evidently is a thing that is spread.
I can add to the advantages of living in such a place, the fact that people are kinda good in their heart, and they are generous. If you are in the graces of this big family from which all emanates, the generosity is very touching and they are willing to open the doors to their house for you. They can make available all sorts of resources. For exmaple I was teen and learning to use the motocross, since is a small place they pass the news from one to the other and they give me 3 rides and I didnt even ask for it.
Which leads me to a thing I consider a negative. The idea is that your social status is known to all, and your reputation travels fast and sticks forever. So if you got bad reputation, people remember it after their death. Local priest knows peoples from the past, mouths talk all the time.
That place made me think about AI cameras and the world economic forum and the idea of tech surveilance. I thought many times tech surveillance is kinda inferior to this way of life of the small village. Because in small village every corner has eyes and all humans record all about you.
Local status is weird. Because lots of people are irrelevant, they do travel the world but they always come back, and in the small town they become lords and kings. Out of the small town they are nobodies. The biggest authorties in the town arent mayor or priest, the big authority is family. A mayor is a servant of the family, a priest works for the family. the family can make and unmake a priest or a lawyer or a mayor.
Despite the place is small it does not lacks contradictions and weird situations. For instance someone opened a cult starting from that town: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federation_of_Damanhur
Since I been in the origin place I gathered legends about that cult, people knew personally the guy who started it.
Other than that cult, there was satanism, there are also punk people into druglife and other assorted coping mechanisms.
As for incel specific issues, I did see massive incels. I seen a guy who was going to the local gym, he was one of the incelest people I seen in my life. He was doing roids without much support from the internet. So his roid abuse gave him hormone problems. You can be offered women, or people can favor the outcome of you getting pussy or they present you various possibilities, if they notice you can be manipulated they present even more options.
For some reason, despite the town is small the medical services available are top notch, and doctors are very good. But its the atmosphere of the place, pretty much everyone is very serious in school and they have good places for education even if the environment rotates round big families and looks like a mini-mafia.
Negative side of such a place is that all is very emotionally consuming, and you need to engage emotionally pretty much 24/7, private life is impossible, you have nowhere to go. Going out of town is doable, there is a network of public transportation services that links 4 of these cities. Youth social status also deserves a separate shitpost its very intricate and difficult.
Political situation is this one: Politicians suck balls of local families. politicians respect these people because they know how important they are. The political life is shallow but they tend to be on the side of Salvini or adjacent politicians from center-right parties. The people who disagree are simply socially disengaged and deactivated. there is no alternative to their decisions, you can opt-in or opt-out. There is the option available to not be like them. But there is no alternative.
All and all, I think I came to appreciate the most the generosity and the simple character of the people here. When I say "simple" i dont mean doofuses, they are smart. I mean that some people are predictable in a good way, more like "consistent", their personality is constantly affirmed and their good qualities have a lot of room to expand. Its a place where if you are moved by good intentions you can do lots to transform the territory. So its possible to be highly socially coherent in that place, you can become someone without many contradictions and maintain an aura of respectability that also gets transferred to your sons and lasts after your death (the town thinks in +-200 years of history).
The town also knows itself and its past and thinks of the future. The town has its own internal logic, which is also spread despite as I said more or less all rotates around the big family leader. I was surprised to see my young niece acquiring the logic and the family identity at such a young age, I didnt expect it to happen. I kinda resisted it growin up I didnt feel good in that place.
Its not bad. Its a good experience to have. I am glad I seen that place.
