I didnt finish by the way. Theres lots of ways to read the bibles, some people say is a story about aliens. But I have another perspective.
For now I see a loong way to justify the unification of tribes. There are moral arguments built as if propaganda, as if a mainstream news pieces. I read bible and think how similar it is to contemporary narratives or mainstream media. Narratives like "muh the west is bad" they present to you stories of women who fuck dogs, unrelated facts about immigrant rapes. Conclusion = you should give up your autonomy and pursue this massive cope that also makes your life shitter.
They say people are barbarians they rape goats and women, lets have a king is their "therefore" fix, the big solution. Or people are bad, god disciplines them, humans are innately evil "we need order".
In he end, the reader is convinced "yes we really need god" or "yes having a king is desirable", so they drop their local cults.
Priests are always right. When someone disagrees with them, they command an army to:
- Mutilate their kids, rape women, smash people heads on a rock.
- Destroy them and all the things they built, in the most brutal humiliating way possible.
And this proves "therefore" whatever bullshit follows in the narrative.
Problems are manufactured, and solutions are provided for problems created by the priests.
Someone is pro-monarchy, the bible will show with this style of deceptive argumentation that he was right all along, and everyone else was a fool idiot buffoon who gets raped.
Tribes are described as goat fuckers, camel fuckers, woman rapers, wife beaters, child abusers. Later comes a moral force under god, puts them in order, punishes evildoers and then you conclude "therefore" and you go worship the priest conquerors that gave you the fix.
