An intrepid and genuinely curious comrade asked me today to kindly explain how I could reconcile my professed Islamic convictions with my occasional consumption of alcohol, which ostensibly appears to be incompatible with the teachings of the faith. I had hoped that Slyboy (AKA Soyboy) was going to ask me this exact question in the interview I granted him 2 weeks ago in Ohio but alas, he did not.
As such, I took the time to make a audio recording for the edification of the comrade who wanted to understand this apparent paradox and am posting it below for anyone else who may be interested or care enough to listen to me speak for about 7 and a half minutes. You may want to start around the 1:30 mark as I preface this with a bit of somewhat irrelevant background regarding my attitude towards questions that many others would consider to be intrusive.
