More than fifteen years of speculation turned into reality two days ago with the U.S. invasion of Iran. For numerous years an attack on Iran was mentioned through the chambers of congress and the White House but no previous administrations had the courage to materialize this endeavor until two days ago. Previous presidential administrations and congress members hypothesized the magnitude of consequences would have been far greater than rewards so they would not allow this to occur. However the current administration failed to properly oversee such consequences resulting in possibly a catastrophic loss of life and an extremely large scale war given Iran's influence in an already sensitive and vital region in the world. It's strategic importance and significance. Finally its own strategic power and ability to retaliate far exceed nations that were previously the subject of a U.S. military invasion.
The global impact this could have on the foreseeable future could be of immediate concern depending how long the conflict lasts and its level of escalation and intensity.
