ignorance, suspicion and stupidity
I think conspiracy is good. But I noticed normies go into anything false, and discard anything you can prove.
For instance, UFO conspiracies. There is a very rich amount of resources protected by a generation of journalists who dedicated to the UFO stuff, and they already debunked everything, every single "craft sighting". Basically theres a massive amount of info to already show theres no UFO and you would think the conspiracy is done and buried.
If information exists and claims are already investigated and debunked, how can the same conspiracy narratives keep coming back?
Well obviously the answer is: joe roagan. Joe Roagan changed audience. Instead of appealing to inquisitive minds and highIQ people, he did an appeal to normies. Normies dont even know there is metabunk or a vast amount of wikis about these conspiracies, for them is all new and all comes from joe roagan or alex jones.
So old stories are recycled, no context, no evidence.
Also, they revived flat earth. There are some people who literally read samuel rowbotham book and created contents for a youtube channel lasting 5 years of diluted contents when you could have just said "read the book from samuel rowbotham" and end it there. 5 years of youtube listening = 8 hours of reading on your own. And then, you could have spent maybe a week debunking the book and youre done with this shit. Nowadays instead you would spend 10 or more years to debunk hundreds of hours of youtube dogshit that repeats the same claims of 30 years ago for a new audience.
Theres a lot of people in conspiracy community frustrated. Myself included. Because what can you do about it? Even if you gather evidence, it just suffices 1 joe roagan to tell a story to old people and these normies will never know the story is fake. These dudes on incels.is seem this type of normie, they listen joe roagan and think is all true.
