It's a phenomenon I have observed not only with incels, but also with other groups. So I wonder if this is an incel phenomenon or just the case in general in groups that the people who are willing to do anything for change are a tiny fraction of the total group.

I don't think that's right with al due respect. Every other disenfranchised group in US history has had the fortitude, wherewithal and courage of their convictions to mobilize and to instrumentalize their effort to vindicate whatever grievances they collectively held.
