So unless you're living under a rock, you've certainly heard that a Mormon church in Michigan was shot; 4 dead, multiple wounded, and the building burned down.
I'm not necessarily mourning or celebrating either way; Mormons aren't really special or relevant to me.
But from some details that have emerged, it looks like he was a US Marine vet who spent time in Iraq, and he probably had deep-seated depression and other mental issues. He apparently dated a Mormon girl he met in Utah for awhile, and had a couple tattoos removed to fit in, though things apparently didn't work out.
It's not really clear if she cut things off with him due to his depressive attitude, if his attitude was caused by the breakup, or some combination of the two. He expressed a sharp dislike of Mormons, which could have arisen from the breakup, or may have caused it.
He also had a major falling-out with his mother shortly before the ER event.
In any event, the shooting was almost certainly motivated by failed romantic aims, rather than political. And this shooter helps show that not all "incels" are necessarily worthless losers who don't make the effort. It's also not clear who/ what is to blame: PTSD, the girl, his mom, the "system", some other factor or a combination thereof.
I'm not really sure he would technically be an "incel", it just has similarities.
Any other insight or thoughts on this?

As a Christian, Mormons aren’t the most perfect branch of Christianity. They believe in Jesus and the Holy Bible but they also have a separate “book of Mormonism” which the rest of Christian’s don’t recognize. Pastor Mark Driscoll called them a cult.IBG wrote: 30 Sep 2025, 08:01 So unless you're living under a rock, you've certainly heard that a Mormon church in Michigan was shot; 4 dead, multiple wounded, and the building burned down.

With that being said, religious or political violence as a Christian is never acceptable regardless of how women or society mistreat you. Maybe if you’re a Muslim or a Jew you’re allowed to get revenge and murder people, but as Christians, we’re called to forgive and turn the other cheek.
You could argue that’s a “pussy” or a “coward” to forgive and turn the other cheek, and maybe from an atheist secular perspective that is true. However from a spiritual standpoint, Jesus says in the Bible, if you want Father God to forgive you of your sins, you have to forgive others. If you forgive others, Father God will forgive you. If you don’t forgive others, Father God won’t forgive you.
From a scientific standpoint, forgiveness eliminates karmic debt in the electromagnetic field. As far as who to blame? It’s ALWAYS Satan. It’s ALWAYS the matrix. It’s ALWAYS the aliens. And yea losing your mate will drive a man into deep depression on a primal, evolutionarily hardwired psychological level.

Also our vets don’t get enough support from our government. Many vets struggle with PTSD, mental health, substance abuse, homelessness etc. The government gives more care and support to illegal immigrants than to our own veterans. It’s despicable and a shame. Same with homeless U.S. citizens, like I was saying on the other thread.IBG wrote: 30 Sep 2025, 08:01 So unless you're living under a rock, you've certainly heard that a Mormon church in Michigan was shot; 4 dead, multiple wounded, and the building burned down.

Lmfao that’s a terrible thing to say about our vets bruh. I know you’re just ignorant so I forgive you. There are different elements of the government they’re not all bad.Vincent wrote: 02 Oct 2025, 12:22Fuck your vets, I hope they die. Yes some parts of the government are lgbt and feminist (democrats). You lumping them into the same category as so-called “Christ-cucks” shows your flawed judgment and limited knowledge and insight.
Go do some research on operation Q. They’re a sector of the military that is sending the deep state cronies to GITMO to get a military tribunal and be given the death penalty for their crimes against humanity. Replacing them with central casting actors.
Idk if I told you or somebody else but Christianity is against feminism and lgbt. Y’all lumping Christianity and lgbt/feminism in the same category shows me you’re ignorant and you’ve fallen victim to the brainwashing of the deep state.
