Just bought a brand new AR-15 from PSA. My first AR ever. Let me know what y’all think. Good deal for $1,000?

Let me know what optic I should get. I’m probably gonna get an eotech 2 or whatever for $400. Then I also gotta buy 1,000 rounds of range ammo for like $400-$500 shieeet.

Congratulations comrade. I have some familiarity with the much vaunted and venerable AR-15 as I received training on it during my time in the military many years ago. I can say that in contrast to the AK-47 it is far more accurate, especially at long distances (>500 yards) though conversely, it jams much more often, requires far greater maintenance for upkeep and is a more complicated piece of equipment with more moving parts. I personally prefer the AK-47 as I have used both of these rifles extensively and have acquired a sufficiently comprehensive understanding of their respective strengths and weaknesses. Also, the AK is easier to use and the learning curve on the path to proficiency is less steep.

Irrespective of my personal predilections, I commend you for your eagerness to fully embrace your constitutionally guaranteed rights to bear firearms and congratulate you on your purchase.

Honestly while I don't disagree with you, the fact that a post as objectively innocuous as this has the potential to provoke fear and trepidation in the hearts and minds of normies says more about what is wrong with them and soyciety then anything about us. This is a man who is legally exercising his Allah given rights and expressing his joy in doing so. It would be like someone saying that he is proud to have purchased a decommissioned U-Haul rental truck which could conceivably be used to generate mayhem and carnage on the sidewalks of places like Toronto but it also used in an entirely utilitarian manner as a means of conveyance.
