Rather than requiring men to manually register for the draft, the proposal will instead use federal databases to automatically register young men to be called to die for the whim of the state as soon as they turn 18. However the bill is unlikely to pass the Senate to become law, not because of the blatant double standard and anti-male discrimination, but rather the objection from Democratic lawmakers of "the inclusion of amendments curbing funding for abortion, transgender medical care, and diversity efforts."

While a relatively insignificant change compared to existing Selective Service/military draft policy—the story is a reminder that men's lives are continually considered disposable and are treated as lesser to women's lives. While women have received increasingly greater economic and social freedoms over the decades, they have not been held to any of the responsibilities or standards that men are held to, let alone sexless, single incels.
Furthermore this story illustrates that neither side of the political spectrum cares for the lives and welfare of young men. Conservatives are all too ready to throw men at the meat grinder of the military-industrial machine if it becomes necessary to protect the state, the rich and powerful elites, and women. Meanwhile the Liberals value the interests of fetus killers, 3rd world immigrants, and delusional transgenders over the lives of their own countrymen who built and sustain this nation.
This is just one of many examples that demonstrate it is necessary for men to forge their own advocacy and advance their own interests separately from conventional politics—a Third Position if you will
