I had saved up 3 grand in my neetbux account, and I had just taken it out, and was getting round to taking it down to the bank

it was sealed in an envelope in a drawer in my room

I had 1 good friend at the time, Jake, and he was the only person on the planet who seemed to give a fuck about me

he inboxed me on Facebook every day, and came to my house

every time, he always asked to go upstairs, and said he had to use the bathroom

what he was actually doing was going through my bedroom, looking for money to help himself to, because I had stopped lending him any

and as I discovered later, he found it......out of 3 grand, he took everything but 20 pounds

the police looked for him, but could never find him

3 months later, we had a phone conversation about it, where he cried and begged me to stay with him, and promised to give it back

then the next day, he blocked my phone number, blocked me on Facebook, and never spoke to me again

10 years later, and I haven't trusted anyone since then
