Does anyone here have experience with being homeless?
It looks like I might go homeless in a few weeks. I've been doing a lot of research along with walks and looks around town to see safe places to find out the best ways to survive. I think I found the best place when I was exporing around today.
I'll still have my source of income from my part time job for food/drinks and other needs its nowhere near enough for a hotel or any apartment. I got a membership of the gym I can use for showers/bathroom use.
I'll need to get rid of lots of my stuff since I'll have nowhere to keep most of them and only taking the ones I need but I am conflicted and am not sure what to keep and what to throw out
this year has so far been one of my worst I keep finding myself at low points. this was just the icing on top.

It sounds as though you may have some income stream as well as some tangible, fungible assets to supplement whatever your current net worth might be. While I don't have any actual experience with homelessness as my parents have always been extremely generous by providing me with food and shelter throughout most of my life and even much of my adult life, I can offer you some general anecdotal observations.
Firstly, have you considered looking into the possibility of an extended stay hotel? When I was attending law school and prior to moving in to an apartment, I was living in such a place and had made arrangements with the management for a specially discounted rate out of consideration for my status as a student and my commitment to staying there on a regular and sustained basis. Hotels near large international airports might be your best option for this purpose (which, incidentally, was where I was staying).
Secondly, make sure you have done everything you can to safeguard both yourself and whatever property you may have on your person. It sounds as though you've already anticipated this and made preparations. Finally, consider pleading with any friends or relatives and using your desperation as leverage to get them to acquiesce to letting you stay with them, if only temporarily. You can even make them an offer for future reimbursement.
Just some thoughts and I hope everything works out for you comrade.
