Tovarishcel could be the warrant officer
warrant officers are rarer than lieutenants
Don't be so obsessed with rank comrade as it will distract you from rendering service on behalf our sacred revolutionary cause. Also, I need not remind you that second lieutenant is a higher rank then warrant officer yet, Tovarishcel is currently an SFC which is several ranks higher then CPL (your own rank) and as such, it would be highly unprecedented and disingenuous to him if we were to promote you to a more advanced rank.
Also, when I become Major, McGee will become a Senior Lieutenant and you will move up one or two ranks as well since we will all progress incrementally and in accordance with the promotional policy guidelines enumerated in the IPF rules. But yes, eventually, I do see you becoming an actual officer grade, though not if you continue to miss briefings.
