I never saw any sergeants in the whole film
It's been over 15 years since I've seen that movie but any prison system that has a guard force large enough to warrant the appointment of a captain must also have sergeants and possibly even a lieutenant. When the IPF reopens Auschwitz, you and Tovarishcel will be senior SS Sergeants, if not actual lieutenants in charge of ensuring that the ovens are running continuously.
