I had 10 beers last night, and a load of coffee
my heart has been behaving strangely today, and I briefly had severe chest and back pain
Ive been really struggling to breathe, and sometimes it feels like something has blocked my airway, like a blood clot
I really considered going to A&E earlier
if you dont see me on here for a long time, I'm dead
I will never leave the IPF otherwise

Your back may be hurting on account of your kidneys having to work hard to process all the toxins in the alcohol you were drinking. Also, heart attacks are generally preceded by a constellation of other symptoms which you may want to do some preliminary research on to inform your self-diagnosis. The biggest considerations would be your diet, any family history of cardiovascular problems (heart attack, arrhythmia, etc.) and obesity.General Alek wrote: 13 Aug 2024, 15:23 I had 10 beers last night, and a load of coffee

OK well I don't know what your BMI would be or whether you have high or indeed, low blood pressure nor do I know what you cholesterol levels are, all of which would be probative in predisposing you to heart problems. If you are thin and don't eat too many foods that are high in LDL cholesterol like red meats then that is a good start. Still, you would have to determine your risk factors based on family history, exercise levels and any blood work/lab analysis that you might be able to get done.General Alek wrote: 13 Aug 2024, 15:43i eat vegetables almost daily the time, and I have arms like twigsDarth_aurelius wrote: 13 Aug 2024, 15:40Your back may be hurting on account of your kidneys having to work hard to process all the toxins in the alcohol you were drinking. it could also be a pulmonary embolism

Do you smoke and if so, how often? How old are you or about how old? Have you had any family history or any personal health history of heart problems?General Alek wrote: 13 Aug 2024, 15:56hmmDarth_aurelius wrote: 13 Aug 2024, 15:49OK well I don't know what your BMI would be or whether you have high or indeed, low blood pressure nor do I know what you cholesterol levels are, all of which would be probative in predisposing you to heart problems. I don't have any family history of particular heart problems, then again, almost no one in my family has drunk like I have

I think it is unlikely that you have a serious medical issue related to your heart based on everything you have told me here. I also do not think that drinking would itself necessarily predispose you to heart problems though it may cause kidney/liver dysfunction is you are chronically consuming large quantities of alcohol. It would be extremely unlikely for someone as young as you and with no family history of heart related medical issues to experience anything like a heart attack or pulmonary embolism.General Alek wrote: 13 Aug 2024, 16:00I'm in my 20s, and ive never really smokedDarth_aurelius wrote: 13 Aug 2024, 15:59Do you smoke and if so, how often? Also, once or twice a week may not seem altogether too frequent but it really is going to depend on the volume of alcohol you consume so that even if you were to hypothetically only drink once every two weeks but consume two liters of vodka in one night that would be immeasurably worse then merely drinking two or three glasses of wine every night.

I'm not sure I could ever drink 2 litres of vodka, at least I hope I couldn't
I gave up spirits, and 750ml of whiskey was the most I could take

Well you could certainly do far worse then 10-20 bears though you could do much better as well. I tend to be someone who drinks very infrequently but in large volume which is precisely what the medical profession advises against. As I think you probably saw over in Element, I have an enormously high tolerance for hard liquor and once consumed two full 750 ml bottles of what I seem to remember was Cruzan pineapple flavored rum which was 35% alcohol by volume. I didn't get sick, pass out or die and was only moderately hungover the following day. While I can't drink like that any more I can still out drink almost any normie I might conceivably ever challenge to a drinking contest, which would never actually happen as I only ever drink alone and always while wearing my full SS officers dress uniform.General Alek wrote: 13 Aug 2024, 17:56Its always about 10 - 20 beersDarth_aurelius wrote: 13 Aug 2024, 17:50I have had some exposure to the medical field throughout my life and have acquired a certain aptitude for diagnosing conditions as such.General Alek wrote: 13 Aug 2024, 16:10

I used to drink as much as I could once a month and it was amazing, infrequently and in large volume was what suited me
but then it turned into once a week
then twice a week

It sounds alot like heartburn to me, that may explain the "chest pain". The alcohol can be irritating the stomach lining. Do you also have a sour taste sometimes, in the back of your throat?
