I decided to go to the job interview today and it went fine. Though I am not sure if I got the job or not. Employers use the identical verbiage so you can tell whether or not they want to hire you based on certain terminology but sometimes this assumption is inaccurate. The manager here seemed to be LGBTQ. He appeared to be a friendly guy as a lot of gay men are but there is no telling whether he will hire me.

Exactly! I have a Bachelor's degree in History and I can't find a job in the field. I found out much later on this was a field that is rather extinct for the most part. I found out when it was too late.

i failed almost 10 interviews and went door-to-door to almost 50 places but got turned down.
It's over but I'll give up when i get to 109 places, then i'll know it's me that's the problem.

I am in a similar situation as I get turned down almost everywhere I go but I don't set limits for myself I just keep on trying until I get hired somewhere and I see how long I can last before I start the job hunt all over again.

I had no idea that you had studied history. I actually had considered taking a PhD in history at one point, had applied to about a dozen programs and had even submitted a paper for publication in a peer review journal to enhance my academic bona fides. When I was still working as a lecturer at university I taught several survey courses on Western Civ and US history alongside the Constitutional Law course and intro to law that I also taught. The only way you can ever hope to make the study of history a viable career option is if you earn a PhD from a very elite institution and are able to either leverage your contacts on your dissertation committee or whatever DEI qualities you may have to then secure tenured employment.
