In some tropical climates lizards roam. During my trips overseas to Pakistan I often have noticed lizards and this case I believe the type could be best classified as wall geckos given their desires to climb on peoples walls and stay there for long durations at a time.

Several noteworthy observations about the behavior of lizards

They are like deer you go near them and they run away.

They are often in residential areas and never in commercial areas. They seem to enjoy going more into people's houses than businesses.

When they climb on peoples walls they stay there for so many hours at a time. You see a lizard on your bedroom wall and will stay there for up to six hours at a time and often more. You leave your bedroom and come back several hours later and you will notice it is still there in the exact same spot. Sometimes they move only a step or two forward.

They have a small tiny rectangular lounge they stick out when they are hungry and are looking for bugs to eat.

Lizards don't bite but they are rumored to be filled with poison and their poison is believed to be like cyanide you eat it and you are going to die right away so in Pakistan people never leave their food out especially uncovered for fear a lizard might fall into it and contaminate it with its poison

My own experiences with lizards.

One time while on vacation in Pakistan I was leaning up against a wall when all of a sudden I felt tingling on my shoulder and I looked over and saw a lizard on me and it climbed down my shirt and ran away when it noticed I saw it there. After that when ever I went back to Pakistan for vacation I made sure never to lean up against any wall especially walls in peoples houses.

One time I woke up and found three lizards on my bedroom wall. It looked like a mother father ad possibly a small baby lizard. I picked up a pen from my night stand and threw it at them and all three of them ran in different directions.

HERE IN THE US.

Given that I am from an area that is too cold for lizards to just be roaming around outside and going into peoples houses I generally do not see lizards in the state where I live but usually when I went to Florida for vacation I would see a lizard running into a bush outside my hotel room.

Florida is more suited for lizards as it has a rather tropical climate.
