Im surprised. I made this point many times and I wrote priestmaxing strategies on incel forums I already argued for it many times.

It all came to my mind when an old doctor told me that all my problems culd be fixed and he said I could become priest. Its easy, basically they fix every single thing you suffer from. Housing, job, education, they got it all fixed.

If you enter seminary and youre not young, they consider it even better because you had your revelation later. At least where I live, converting to christianity when youre older is widely respected and is interpreted as a call from god, or a person with "sincere beliefs". Instead is very common to expect youth to not be sincere and to invent some excuse why they want to be priests.

So if youre thinking "but im older now, they will never want me". Think again, they want you even more now. And if youre thinking "i dont have money to pay for books, theology is hard". No, dont think that, they pay for the books themselves, they help you study too. There are nuns, they also pay for your clothing ifyou dont have the money. What im saying is, money is not an issue in the church. Youre never going without food, never going without clothing or books. Youre taken care of.

Now lets talk about theology or philosophy, one of these 2 is required to be catholic priest. I cannot speak of other religions this is the one i know more. Its required quite a lot of study this is true. But as I said before its possible and people will help you. The job is not payed very well, you will earn scraps. But the benefit is that you no longer are required to compete in the ratrace because "priest" is a separated social role with benefits.

You dont even have to marry, this act of social conformity is spared on priests. So if you were an awkward autistic who hated the idea of "girlfriend experience" you are even more suited to be a priest. And trust me, in society nobody bats an eye if a priest does not have iphone or does not have a luxurious car.
