woman for your wedded wife?' Then he said: 'No.' There was
pandemonium in the little church at Santa Maria Goretti, Italy. The
bride sobbed and one bridesmaid fainted. Hastily the bridegroom
explained that he was only joking, and asked the priest to continue the
service. 'You have committed sacrilege,' the priest told him. 'Only a
bishop can put things right.'
