I noticed it when I was teenager. A foid noticed I was listening to music and she says finally she can understand me, beacuse by reading the music titles you can understand what faction a normie belong to.
Problem is my music genre preferences span from all the genres I listeend to and I didnt give any loyalty to any mood or genre. So im afraid my personality isnt so easy to discover.
There was a period where I discovered gregorian chants, and I collected some of them. Another time I was collecting trash metal bands. I spent 3 years listening to bubblegum eurodance and russian punk pop. Simply because I never allowed music to define me, I use it to my advantage, it can set a mood.
And other than that Im aware this world has lots of identities around, I can always select one, play with it for a while and change identity later.
Modernity allows people to pick and choose their own identity, its a feature I use very often.
Even religious people who often criticize modernity do this. They start catholic, they become pagan, they become orthodox, later they become satanist, go back to catholic, explore the protestant cope, join the hitler cult when they are teenagers and later realize its not good enough so they go into worship of ecelebs.
Basically its a feature of modern life, you get to pick an identity, and the existence of the possibility is something that will have effects, even on normies. In my case, the possibility is something I make into a potential, because I embraced moderntity so now I am not defined by music as much as the normie is. I will instead use music when it suits me.
An incel trait. You do not give your loyalty to music genres.

Normies put an effort into becoming npc. I would say I do have tribes, but they are not so obvious and spam many things, like cultivation novels, math olympiads groups, kpop, math rock, alternative idols etc. So if someone sees that I'm part of one of those, it doesn't tell much about who I am.
